Long Beach is a city in southern California located in the county of Los Angeles. Warren Griffin (Warren G) grew up in here in the post code area of 213, which also was the name of a rap group he formed in his teens together with his friends Nathaniel Dwayne Hale (Nate Dogg) and Cordazar Calvin Broadus (Snoop Dogg).
In 1994 he released the smash hit single Regulate together with Nate Dogg, it was to become a classic west coast rap album. The front cover was taken on the corner of E 21st street and Lewis avenue and features Warren with his back resting against a lamp post. The church in the background is the New Liberty Baptist Church.
