Led Zeppelin - Eve Hill

Eve Hill is an area of the town of Dudley located in the West Midlands in the United Kingdom.

The front and inner photographs for the 1971 Led Zeppelin IV album were taken in the Eve Hill area of Dudley. The tower block, shown on the side, is Butterfield Court, off Salop Street, and still stands today.

The painting on the front of the album, showing an old man carrying a bundle of sticks, was allegedly purchased from a junk shop in Reading, Berkshire by a Led Zeppelin roadie (though Jimmy Page has stated it was bought by Robert Plant) and affixed to the internal, papered wall of the partly demolished house for the photograph to be taken.
