The Good Mixer is a pub in Camden, an area of northwest London. The Pub is still open and is popular among the alternative music crowd.
Back in the days of Britpop this was the place to hang out, Blur, Oasis, Menswear, have all hung out here. Noel Gallagher has stated in an interview that he used to hang out in the Good Mixer during the time he lived in London alone, before he became famous.
In the post-britpop era the Good Mixer has been a hang-out for Travis, Amy Winehouse, Johnny Borrell, Peter Doherty and his band The Libertines. One hit wonder metal group the Darkness fronted by Justin Hawkins, also hung out here and the pub still has a framed Darkness poster pinned to one of it's walls, signed by all the band members.
One evening in 2007 Peter Doherty turned up at the Good Mixer with his super-model girlfriend at the time, Kate moss.
